We hung up posters for staff members for education week and reviewed our jobs for the 5th grade visit. We plan to meet at lunch on Friday to go over our panel talk.

Old Business:
Representatives are to be working on posters for Educator Week. We also discussed the dance and will have drink tickets available for people as they enter. We will be preparing for the 5th grade visit by going on practice tours and getting panel discussions ready.

Student Council Meeting Minutes, April 17, 2012
Old Business
We discussed handing out 1 ticket per person for their drink for the dance. Making a flower to help decorate the lunch room will be optional. We also discussed recycling and would like to have one teacher possibly try this out first.
New Business
We received a donation for the raffle from the Bernard Law Firm and will write a thank you note. We also drew names of teachers to create a poster for Education Appreciation Week in May.

Student Council Meeting Minutes, April 10, 2012
Old Business:
We decided to just have Student Council reps. provide drinks for the upcoming dance. We will try to have a variety, including water, pop, and lemonade. We also want the class to know that each person gets 1 drink so we have enough for everyone. We will figure out a method to label our pop cans to help you find it if you set it down. If anyone has song suggestions, please get them to a student council rep. We will use a google doc. to generate input.

We discussed the bake sale and plan to have it one night, Tuesday, April 3. We have workers assigned and would take any other donations from classmates!
We also discussed the Variety Show and we are looking forward to a great event!

Old Business:
We discussed the bake sale and need for bake sale items and possibly workers.
New Business:
We would like to have a hat day to support Relay For Life. Students would need to donate $1 in order to wear a hat for the day. We will have teachers look at the calendar and set a date. Notes will be sent home as a reminder.
*Variety show reminder: Wednesday, March 28, after lunch. If you need music, you need to provide it!
